It's been a while since I've updated this, life gets busy! We've had a great summer so far, lots of trips up to my parents' house where Ryan does some fishing and Katelyn and I visit the horses and chickens (sometimes I sneak away for a nap while Grandma occupies Katelyn). Katelyn loves it up there, it's a nice escape from the heat in the valley. She's finally getting used to sleeping somewhere other than her own crib, so it makes it easier to travel now. We're heading to Portland next weekend for a Wiggles concert (yes, that's right!) and a trip to the Zoo with my friend Stephanie and her daughter Lilly. Even Ryan's looking forward to the Wiggles concert! Katelyn's just discovered she can sing and she does so often. She sings complete versions of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "Old McDonald", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", her "ABC's" and "Row Row Row your Boat". It's unbelievably cute!

We've had a couple visits to "The Farm" this summer, a local petting zoo. Here she is with some baby deer. Katelyn loves all the animals, but especially the pigs. When I told her we were going to the Portland Zoo next weekend, she asked if the "piggies" would be there. I wouldn't think they'd have pigs at the Portland Zoo!

I don't remember any piggies at the zoo :) She is going to LOVE it there!!! I hope you guys get to see the elephants inside...you really get a feel for how enormous they are.
