Christmas

This year was Katelyn's second Christmas. She loved seeing all of the presents under the tree, and kind of got the opening thing down but not completely. She loved playing with all of her new toys, especially her big puppy dog. On Christmas Eve we had dinner at our house with my parents, Ryan's Mom and his Grandpa and my Uncle Jim. I can't take any credit for cooking though; Ryan started a new tradition last year of cooking a turkey so he did all of the work on that and it turned out amazing (that coming from someone who doesn't really like turkey). My mom made the rest of the food while I sat on the couch with a horrible cold and fever. On Christmas day we made the rounds to visit all of our family. Katelyn was so overwhelmed with all of the activity and exhausted by the end of the day. We are so blessed to have such a smart and beautiful little girl, and to have such a wonderful and supportive family to share our lives with. We had an amazing Christmas and New Year and look forward to see what 2009 will bring.

Christmas morning - Katelyn seeing the presents that Santa left.

Watching Daddy help open her presents for her.

Opening her stocking - this had to wait until the day after Christmas because we forgot!!

Fast asleep after a long day of celebration.
